Some weddings just hit a little differently—and Paige and TJ’s day at Sterling Hills Golf Course in Camarillo was one of those for me. Not only was I lucky enough to photograph their wedding, but my husband and I were both part of the bridal party, too. That dual role—photographer and family—made it all the more meaningful, emotional, and unforgettable. Paige and TJ are our family, and their love story is something we’ve had the joy of witnessing up close over the last few years.
Their Sterling Hills wedding came after a tough week. The LA fires had swept through the area, and there were a lot of unknowns in the days leading up to the wedding. It was a stressful time for everyone—but somehow, the moment we all came together at Sterling Hills Golf Course, the heaviness lifted. The air was filled with love, joy, and so much positive energy. It felt like exactly what we all needed: a celebration of love, resilience, and family.
The venue couldn’t have been more beautiful. Rolling hills, golden sunlight, and the kind of sky that feels like a quiet blessing. Paige was radiant—glowing in a way that only brides in love glow—and TJ looked at her like she was his whole world. There were laughs, tears, and moments I’ll carry with me for a long time—especially the ones I got to witness both from behind the camera and right in the middle of it all.
Capturing their day while also standing beside them was an honor I’ll never forget. I got to see every glance, every little in-between moment, not just as a photographer, but as someone who knows them, loves them, and is rooting for them every step of the way.
